Player Profile of the Week: KAYLA LAWSON

Major: Human Rights Studies, Anthropology
Year: Senior
Position: defense
Uniform #: 16
High School: Phillips Academy

Post Trinity Plans: I am a Fulbright Scholarship Alternate and I applied to the Peace Corps so I am waiting to hear back from both. Ideally I would like to teach and/or volunteer abroad or work for a human rights organization.

Favorite Sports Quote: "Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It’s the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs and the voice inside you that yells can't. But you don't listen. You just push harder, and then you hear the voice whisper can. And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are."

Favorite Practice Drill:
5v4 Must Go

Why did you choose Trinity? The Human Rights program really interested me and I wanted to play competitive lacrosse while getting a good well-rounded education.

What does Trin Lax mean to you? Putting my heart and soul into everything and never giving up, and knowing that my teammates are doing the same.

Favorite Trin lax memory? Winning in double OT at Washington & Lee!

Any advice for your teammates? Enjoy every possible moment and never take anything for granted. Love and appreciate everything because time flies and it will be over before you know it!
